2020 Skoda Kodiaq Prices and Specs revealed, details inside
Skoda Australia has revealed prices and spec details for the 2020 Kodiaq. One of the prominent changes on the new Kodiaq is the Virtual Cockpit featuring digitized instruments. The seven-seater can be had with a 132TSI petrol unit priced at $44,190 and the Sportline petrol at $52,190. On the other hand, the range-topping RS TDI variant is available at $65, 990 (before on-road costs). In comparison to the pre-update version, the 2020 Skoda Kodiaq price has gone up by $700.
Moving to the new Skoda Kodiaq specs, the renewed seven-seater houses a 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline unit tuned to emanate 132 kW of peak power along with 320 Nm of torque. The turbocharged engine is conjunct to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox that transmits drive to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system.
Talking of equipment, the exterior boast chunky 19-inch alloy wheels and adaptive headlamps. On the inside, the seats are covered with premium leather upholstery for an upmarket look. One must note, the seven-seat layout is standard, hence no other seating configuration is available with 2020 Kodiaq. Skoda has standardized the Virtual Cockpit, which was earlier optional for an additional premium of $700.
It also sees addition to the list of safety kit with features such as adaptive cruise, autonomous emergency braking, parking sensors and reversing camera available as standard.
Speaking of the Sportline grade, it receives meaty 20-inches alloy wheels, black exterior add-ons and a body kit for a sportier exterior look, while bucket style seats with Alcantra trim enrich the cabin. Besides, Skoda is also offering a host of personalized kits at extra cost such as Luxury Pack ($3,700) which includes blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, heated second-row seats and a surround-view camera.
A 10-speaker stereo set-up, selectable drive modes, hands-free parking and adaptive dampers can be had with the Tech Pack at $ 2,900. While a panoramic sunroof and side steps can be availed for $1,900 and $1,300 respectively.
Coming to the top-spec Kodiaq RS, it derives power from a 2.0-litre bi-turbo-diesel engine with a massive 176 kW of power and 500 Nm torque. It is paired to a seven-speed DGS gearbox and an all-wheel drivetrain ensuring power is channelized at both ends. The RS version appears more aggressive and features a sporty steering wheel with paddles and contrast red stitching on the inside. On the safety front, it is armed to the gills with Skoda’s full safety suit.
