2020 Hyundai Grandeur facelift revealed, Australian launch unlikely

In recent times, Hyundai has been working heavily on improving the design philosophy that its offerings follow. Following the suite, the South Korean automobile manufacturer has now unveiled the 2020 Grandeur, a radically updated avatar of the sedan that came out back in 2016.

Taking inspiration from the 2018 HDC-1 'Le Fil Rouge' concept car designed by Hyundai Motor Group's head of design Luc Donckerwolke. As we begin comprehending from the released images, the 2020 Hyundai Grandeur's front end is now bestowed by a pair of smaller than before headlamps and LEDs that are a part of the front grille, which flaunts diamond-shaped design elements.

Moving to the side profile of the 2020 Hyundai Grandeur, while the sedan doesn't look a whole lot different than the last-gen model, the overall length and the wheelbase of the all-new Grandeur are up by 60 mm and 40 mm.

The changes inside the updated Grandeur incorporate a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, another 12.3-inch screen for the instrument cluster, all-new Sonata's steering wheel, and a touchscreen for the climate control system.

On the mechanical front, the likes of a 3.0-litre LPG engine, a Smartstream 2.5-litre four-cylinder, a 2.4-litre hybrid, and a 213kW 3.3-litre V6 will form the powertrain options on the 2020 Hyundai Grandeur. Hyundai did offer the Grandeur in the Australian market till 2011 before discontinuing the sedan down under. The all-new 2020 Hyundai Grandeur will be up for grabs in South Korea by the end of November 2019. Do not expect the South Korean automaker to bring the overhauled sedan over here, though.
