2019 Ssangyong Korando Launch Edition price and specs

SsangYong Australia has revealed the pricing and specs for a pair of SUV Korando Launch Edition model. The new models will be the major contributing factor in the long term success of the company. Earlier, the expected launch date June 2019 but that shifted to the last quarter of the year.

Ssangyong Korando exterior dimensions measure as 4450 mm long and 1870 mm wide. In comparison with its South Korean companions, it is 30 mm shorter than Kia Sportage and 36 mm shorter than Hyundai Tucson, also it is around 15 ;mm narrower than both. Though in terms of wheelbase, it stands equal to them.

The range includes Korando ELX LE and Ultimate LE. The drivetrain of both the variants includes  a 1.6-litre turbo-diesel coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission producing 135 PS of power and 324 Nm of torque. 

The base variant ELX LE priced at $32,990 drive-away. It comes with front-wheel drive while top-spec Ultimate LE comes with AWD. LED daytime running lights, LED tail-lights and indicators, 18-inch alloy wheels are standard.

Inside the cabin, the Ssangyong Korando specs include

  • A 10.25-inch full-colour instrument display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
  • An 8.0-inch dashboard touchscreen
