The cabin of the Megane Sport is meticulously designed to intensify the detailing. The dashboard is built with non-scratchy and soft-to-touch materials which finishes it with a sleek expression. Being a roomy hatchback, Megane Sport offers you ample of boot capacity of 434L and 1247L with rear seats folded.

Every attention is detailed to enhance the appearance and driving kinetics of Megane. The gloss black honeycomb front grille takes forward the sporty aura of this hatchback. Likewise, the cube-shaped LED fog lights in the lower bumper reflect dynamic styling. Unlike other Renault hatchbacks, Megane Sport comes with a bunch of standard exterior features. It includes, Pure Vision LED headlights, front and rear fog lights, chrome exhaust tip, front and rear LED daytime running lights with 3D Edge effect. R.S Sport gets the 19-inch Interlagos Diamond-Cut alloys, R.S Cup gets the 19-inch Black Interlagos Diamond-Cut alloys, and R.S Trophy gets the 19-inch Jerez wheel rims & Bridgestone Potenza tyres. 

The base grade of Renault Megane gets the Sport Chassis, suspension and 4 hydraulic compression stop, while the mid and top models come with the cup chassis and suspension with 4 hydraulic compression stops as standard. The integration of hydraulic stops absorbs the impact and deliver better control, comfort, and performance. With this configuration, Renault Megane feels more like an old school car with a composed and comfortable ride. However, when compared with the VW Golf, Renault Megane trails behind. The 1.8L turbocharged petrol engine is standard with all the models of Megane Sport. However, R.S Trophy gets you the best of it, and the power and torque output of the 1.8L engine is slightly enhanced to give you top-notch performance. When paired with the Sport and Cup trims of the Megane, this engine can produce a maximum power of 205 kW at 6000 rpm and torque of 390 Nm at 2400 rpm. Both of these models can be paired with either a manual or dual-clutch automatic gearbox. With R.S trophy, you get notched up engine performance of 221 kW at 6000 rpm, and torque of 400 Nm at 2400 rpm with manual transmission and 420 Nm at 2400 rpm with automatic transmission. The combined fuel efficiency of Megane Sport is rated as 7.4l/100km for the manual variants of Sport and Cup. While the ratings improve with the automatic variants, and Megane with an automatic setup delivers a combined score of 7.5l/100km. While for the Trophy grades the combined fuel ratings are 8.3l/100km for automatic and 8l/100km for manual transmission. 

Renault Megane gets standard braking configuration across the lineup. In the front wheels, you’ll get the 355 x 28 mm ventilated disc brakes while in the rear 290 x 11 mm regular disc brakes are configured. To further enhance the braking capacity of Megane, Renault has furnished it with a set of brake assistance features. It includes ESC, ABS, EBD, and emergency brake assist. Moreover, to further keep you safe, Megane comes with a bag of driving assistance and safety features to keep you guided and secure on the track. You can take advantage of Advanced Emergency Braking System, Lane departure warning system, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Warning to make every drive inclusive and risk-free. While on the safety front you’ll get standard, auto door lock, adaptive cruise control, front, and rear curtain airbags. 

Renault Megane Sport is your entry into the world of hot hatchbacks. It's priced lower than many of the rivals but gives you similar performance and feel. It's loaded with many industry-leading features which include 4 wheel steering function, that you might not get in other hot hatchbacks. Apart from this, on the downside, the rear seats are not best suited for long journeys, especially for tall persons.
