Gearbox had to be replaced within 9 months
Let me start with the good things before I narrate the sob story. The Ford Everest is a great car but Ford needs to get its gearbox problems sorted out sooner than later. Good things: engine, comfort, air-conditioning, latest features including the infotainment system, sound system, navigation, handling, and much more. Now, on to the gearbox. The automatic thing worked perfectly fine for 7 months before it started to jerk between the gear shifts. Got the software updated and everything that could be done. The dealership still couldn’t rectify the jerks and the gearbox had to be replaced in the ninth month since purchase. While the Everest is good and all, I am definitely not getting another Ford anytime soon. Ford should probably come up with a newly developed transmission or simply put a stick in if the automatic can’t work how it is supposed to.
