Prior to its anticipated launch that is scheduled for sometime during the second half of 2020, we got our hands on some spy images of the Ford Puma ST.

The upcoming Ford crossover was seen testing in Europe and compared to the previous shots, this one showed a little more skin. Visible in the images are the car’s front grille, headlights, intakes, rear bumper, taillights, and window line.

Similar to other Puma ST prototypes, this car is also seen wearing a rugged wheel and type package along with lowered suspension and bigger brakes compared to the standard segment body-type.

As for its under the hood configuration, the Puma has a lot in common with Ford Fiesta that is currently limited for foreign markets. The Puma ST model is expected to arrive in Australia next year, and we expect it to get the Fiesta ST’s 1.5-litre turbo three-cylinder petrol mill.

The engine churns out 147 kW and 290 Nm on the crossover, and the power is sent down to the front wheels via 6-speed manual gearbox. However, we are not sure whether or not Ford will offer an automatic option given the car’s SUV body-type.

We are also expecting the new Puma ST to come in a range of model-specific trims and features. All this and more will help differentiate the Puma ST from the core range and less potent ST-Line.

Going by the word, it is believed that the Ford Puma ST will make its global debut during the second half of 2020. Further, it’ll go on sale in Europe by 2021 or before.

Also, the upcoming Baby Bronco is likely to make its way to Australia, provide the automaker think of a new name starting with ‘E’.
