2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E revealed
Finally, the most awaited electric vehicle from the Blue Oval is in front of you. The automobile giant Ford has unleashed its first all-electric SUV Mustang Mach-E at an event in Los Angeles on November 17. The model is expected to be launched in late 2020. It will have both standard-range (75.7 kWh lithium-ion) and extended-range (98.8 kWh lithium-ion battery) choices with either RWD or AWD.
If we talk about the Mach-E engine specs, power outputs of the base model mark at 255 PS and 415 Nm while in the case of the regular model, it stands around 333 PS and 582 Nm. It will be offered in different variants, unlike other electric car manufacturers. The five-seater SUV can travel 210 miles on a full battery charge, and the top-spec version can go around 300 miles. Using a fast charger, the car will gain 75.5 km of range in 10 mins. Not only this, the Mach-E top performance model will achieve 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds.
Bill Ford, Chairman of Ford said, “I’ve driven it and it’s a rocket ship. This is a Mustang for a new generation, but I also think long-time Mustang fans like me will love it as well.”
The occasion is an important one for the firm, it not only shows the biggest change for the Mustang in its 55 years of history, but it is also the first product to come out of brand’s $11 billion commitment to have 16 all-electric vehicles in its international portfolio of 40 electrified vehicles by 2022.
At the front, the new Mach-E incorporates Mustang-inspired headlights, LED projector headlamps with auto high beam, legendary Mustang badge, and LED lights. Inside the cabin, the Mustang Mach-E specs include a 10.2-inch digital cluster and a 15.5-inch touch screen.
About the Mach-E price, no specific information is revealed by the Ford yet. But it will be offered above US$40,000 to the mid-US$60,000s,
