Hyundai’s Prophecy EV concept revealed ahead of Geneva debut
Hyundai is set to bring something big at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. However, before the new attraction in question makes its way at the auto show, the carmaker has broken covers partially. Meet the Hyundai Prophecy concept!
The Prophecy concept is a designing concept that would indicate to the styling all of the future Hyundai cars would have. However, as of now, only one image has been brought to the limelight and we would be seeing the complete design once it is uncovered at the auto show.
Going through the design, any true automobile enthusiast would call it familiar to the Audi TT. The Hyundai Prophecy EV concept has wide sporty wheel arches, a curved roof, and an integrated rear spoiler, much like what we see in the German sports car.
Hyundai, in a press event, has quoted that the Prophecy concept reflects the direction at which the automaker would establish itself in the future, as far as the designing is concerned. This concept would be the apt design icon for all of the future electric vehicles from the company’s shed.
The Hyundai Prophecy concept has been designed by Mr. Peter Schreyer, who is the ex design chief at Kia. He now heads the entire design team at Hyundai. According to him, just like the original Audi TT managed to shape the German company’s identity right from the year 1998, this concept would also a similar icon for Hyundai.
To get the complete design statement for this Hyundai Prophecy concept, follow the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. It would make a public debut on the 3rd of March.
Hyundai Australia presently sells two electric vehicles locally - Kona Electric and Ioniq Electric. The latter also comes with a hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The price of the full electric lineup starts at $52,941 for the Ioniq.
