Full details revealed: 2020 Mercedes-Benz V-Class

Mercedes-Benz Australia has revealed details about the all-new V-Class lineup. The latest facelifted version comes with new technologies and comfort features. Also, autonomous emergency braking is now standard across the range.

The 2020 V-Class is offered in two models - V220d and V250d. The good news is that the price tag from the base V220d remains unchanged at $79,627 without on-the-road costs.

On the design front, the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class looks quite different from the previous model. It now gets the following new elements -

• New front bumper
• Diamond grille insert
• New alloy wheels design - 17-inch from V220d & 18-inch for V250d
• Three new metallic paint options

The interior of the new V-Class is not left behind and is fitted with the same amazing and comforting features. Included in 2020 V-Class specs sheet are -

• New optional luxury seats with climatisation, reclining function and back massaging
• Three massage intensities and three climatisation stages
• New high-gloss black finish for V220d
• Double-strip inserts and new air vents for V250d
• Optional ‘Tartufo’ nappa leather upholstery for V250d

Both the trims of the 2020 V-Class are powered by a 2.1-litre twin-turbo 4-cylinder diesel mill. In the V220d, it churns 120 kW and 380 Nm, and on the range-topping V250d, the mill gives out 140 kW and 440 Nm.

On the safety front, a new active safety system and driver assistance might be offered as a standard fitment and for the first-time as well. Standard across the V-Class line would be Active Brake Assist with low-speed pedestrian detection. While Highbeam Assist Plus is standard for V250d, it is optional for V220d trim.
