2020 Volkswagen Viloran unveiled
Around two months from the spy-shots of the wagon-like minivan starting doing rounds over the internet in September, earlier this year, the 2020 Volkswagen Viloran has, at last, made its way out in the flesh at the 2019 Guangzhou motor show. Following the unveiling, the 2020 Volkswagen Viloran will be produced by the joint venture of VW and SAIC, and is likely to remain a China-only offering. Despite that, we might just see the minivan making its way to some other Asian countries as well. It is just not arriving here in Australia, though.
While there isn't much known about the 2020 Volkswagen Viloran yet, the minivan is underpinned by the MQB architecture and gets its power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI gasoline-fed engine that pushes out 220 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 350 Nm. Measuring at 5.3 meters, the Viloran is the largest ever model by the German automaker. Moreover, the minivan features a 2-2-3 style cabin layout, and the creature comforts comprise of executive seats with electric footrests, dual-sided automatic sliding doors, Royal Hall-level Dynaudio audio system, and double headrests.
On the outside, we can see the 2020 Volkswagen Viloran sporting a rather long hood, steeply raked windshield, a wide chrome grille that incorporates the headlamps, large 15-spoke alloy wheels, chrome window garnish, and much more. Once officially available for purchase, the 2020 Volkswagen Viloran will lock horns with the likes of Lexus LM and Buick GL8. Even though the Viloran will not be coming down under, it still has left us impressed just by the way it looks and the handful of many features that we know it has on offer.
But, that's not all that Volkswagen is having in store for us automotive devotees. "We will continue to advance our product offensive and strive to become the preferred brand of consumers in all relevant market segments in China. This means that we will end 2019 with a total of five new models, including the Polo Plus, Sagitar, T-Cross, and Toon X. In 2020, there will be another 6 New models to arrive at the store, at least 5 of which are new members of our lineup", said Dr. Feng Sihan, member of the Volkswagen Passenger Vehicle Brand Management Board and CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles.
