2020 Skoda Kamiq GT sketches unveiled, set to roll-out in China
Skoda has released sketches of Kamiq GT, which previews the sporty and powerful design of the model. The Czech brand is ready to roll out the SUV in Chinese-market on November 4. By observing the designer drawings of the new Kamiq, it can be said that this is almost identical to the Vision GT Concept.
On the exterior, the front grille appears more upright, the roof gently slopes down towards the rear and merges with the rear spoiler seamlessly. You can find curves and strong lines all over the vehicle, which is specially designed keeping the Chinese customers in mind.
While at the rear end, the styling appointments of the vehicle are made as per the global market. It features alike tailgate, taillights, and bumper design. Moreover, the wheel designing of the Chinese-version matches with the Kamiq Monte Carlo.
During a recent press release, Skoda said, “The exterior sketch of the new Skoda Kamiq GT highlights its sporty and powerful appearance with a distinctive front and an elegant, flowing roofline”.
The revealed sketches do not unveil any clue about the interior design of the model. In this context, the company stated, “it offers a blend of rugged SUV looks and sporty dynamics. A horizontal decorative trim extends across the vehicle’s entire width, and occupants can look forward to choosing materials, exclusive highlights and sports seats that offer excellent lateral support."
In Europe, the company offers the model with the different turbocharged drivetrains options, which include a 1.0 TSI in two states of tune, a 1.5 TSI, and 1.6 TDI.
In the Australian market, the model is expected to hit during the first half of 2020. Though the firm has not uttered anything on the pricing front, the market expects that it will lie somewhere between $30,000 and $35,000. Stay tuned to Zigwheels Australia for knowing more about this.
